Raised on a dairy farm in Carmarthenshire, James has spent his life studying animals, something that is very evident in his paintings  with his ability to depict their true characters.

 

James has been nominated for the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation "Wildlife Artist of the Year 2021" in association with the BBC Wildlife Magazine
